Web design in Stockport

yellowloaf is a small web design and development studio with offices in Stockport and Manchester. We build websites, online shops and apps for local businesses — properly coded, tested on real phones, and quoted in writing before we start.

A local studio, not a call centre

Most Stockport businesses we meet have one of two problems. Either they've never had a proper website and are losing enquiries to competitors who have, or they paid someone for one years ago and it's now slow, awkward on a phone and impossible to update without ringing a stranger.

We fix both. You deal with the people who design and build your site — not a salesperson and then whoever is free. Everything is written by hand rather than assembled from heavy page-builders and plugins, which is why our sites load quickly and keep working.

Plenty of our work has come from businesses on this side of Greater Manchester, including care providers, training companies and local shops, so we know the ground.

Stockport web design questions

Do you actually have an office in Stockport?

Yes — we work from Unit A1, The Embankment, Stockport SK4 3GN, as well as our studio at Beehive Mill in Ancoats, Manchester. We're happy to come to you anywhere in Stockport, or meet at either office.

How much does a website cost in Stockport?

The same as anywhere else we work: websites start from £1,500, online shops from £3,000 and apps, web apps and portals from £8,000. Every project gets a fixed written quote before we start, so there are no surprises. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies.

Which parts of Stockport do you cover?

All of it — Stockport town centre, the Heatons, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Reddish, Romiley, Marple and the villages around them, plus the rest of Greater Manchester.

Can you take on the website someone else built for me?

Usually, yes. We start with a free review of what you've got, then tell you honestly whether it's worth fixing, improving or starting again. You get that in writing either way.

Do you only work with care businesses?

No. Care and training is where a lot of our work has come from, but we build for shops, trades, property, food producers and professional services too. The approach is the same: understand the business, design around its customers, build it properly.

How long does a website take?

A small business website is typically three to five weeks from the first conversation to going live, depending on how quickly we can get your content and feedback. Shops and apps take longer, and we agree the dates with you up front.
