Up to 50% off for Manchester independents
We're a Manchester studio, and we would rather see local independents online than not. If you run an independent business trading from one location in Greater Manchester, we'll take up to 50% off the cost of building your site.
Who it's for
Independent businesses — not chains or franchises — trading from a single location in Greater Manchester.
What it covers
The cost of designing and building the site. Looking after it afterwards is charged as normal, so it stays properly maintained.
How to get it
Tell us about your business when you get in touch. The discount is applied to your written quote before you agree to anything.
What affects the cost of a website?
No two businesses need exactly the same website, which is why we quote each one. These are the things that make the biggest difference to the price.
How many pages and layouts
Ten pages that share one layout cost less than five pages that each need their own design.
Features
Bookings, online payments, logins, product filters or links to other systems (like your CRM or accounting software) add build and testing time.
Content
If your words and photos are ready, the project moves faster. If you'd like help writing pages or sourcing images, we'll include it in the quote.
Products
For shops, the number of products and options (sizes, colours, bundles) affects set-up time.
Branding
If you need a logo, colours and a look to go with the website, that's extra design work — if you already have them, we'll build on what you've got.
Timing
A tight deadline can be done, but it may mean more people on the project at once.
What's included in every build
- A bespoke design you approve before building starts
- Built mobile-first, fast-loading and search-engine friendly
- Tested on real phones and browsers before launch
- Help setting up your domain, hosting and email
- Free fixes for any bugs we caused, for 30 days after launch
- A fixed quote — no surprises later
How to keep the cost down
Have your content ready. Text, photos and product details that are ready to go save time on every project.
Start with the essentials. Launch with the pages that bring in customers, then add more once the site is earning its keep.
Use what you've got. If you already have a logo and brand colours, we'll build on them rather than starting from scratch.
Website cost questions
How much does a small business website cost in Manchester?
With yellowloaf, a custom-designed small business website starts from £1,500. The final price depends on the number of pages, features such as bookings or payments, and whether you need help with content. You get a fixed written quote before any work starts. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies.
Why do website prices vary so much?
A website can be anything from a single page on a DIY builder to a custom platform with logins and payments. The price reflects how much design and building your site needs, how many features it has, and how much testing it takes to make sure it all works on every device.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?
Every website needs a domain name and hosting, and most businesses also pay for email. Some clients add a support plan for updates and changes. We list every ongoing cost in your quote, so there are no surprises later.
Can I pay in stages?
Yes. Projects are paid as a deposit before work starts, then in stages at the milestones set out in your quote, with the final payment due before launch.
Is the quote fixed?
Yes. The price is fixed for the work described in your quote. If you ask for new pages or features after the designs are approved, we'll tell you the cost first and only go ahead with your agreement.
What if I have a smaller budget?
Tell us your budget and we'll tell you honestly what's possible — for example, starting with the essential pages and adding more later. It costs nothing to ask.
Do your prices include VAT?
Prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Your quote shows the total clearly.
